GRAFFITI is more than petty vandalism. Please cover or report
Description:
GRAFFITI is more than petty vandalism. Please cover or report
gang markings to 3-1-1 swiftly, to help deter gang activity and
keep our neighborhood safe.
REMOVE GRAFFITI with free products available at Minneapolis
Fire Stations. Or, if you can't remove it,...
COVER GRAFFITI with free paint. While supplies last, vandalized
property owners in Corcoran can pick up primer or paint in white
or a custom color at the Corcoran Neighborhood office.
NEED HELP PAINTING? Corcoran Neighborhood works with
crews that paint over graffiti for free. We need permission from
the vandalized property owner.
REQUIRE CLEANUP by calling 3-1-1 to report graffiti to the City.
The City requires cleanup within 10 days. Leave this flyer for the
neighbors so they know about available help.
REPORT CRIMES IN PROGRESS , or any suspicious or
threatening behavior, by calling 9-1-1 immediately.
Try these tips to make your property less attractive to taggers:
IMPROVE LIGHTING with a dusk-to-dawn or motion-
activated light on your garage or in the back yard.
Choose energy efficient products to keep costs low.
GROW VINES or use landscaping to
make flat, blank garages, retaining
walls, and fences less appealing to
taggers. Morning Glories are a
fast-growing climbing vine.
Graffiti encourages more graffiti, so please
cover or report the markings to 3-1-1 swiftly.
MURAL YOUR GARAGE or fence.
Murals are proven deterrents against
graffiti, and CNO has free paint. Get
the kids and adults on your block
together to help paint and celebrate.
STAGGER FENCE POSTS
instead of building a flat fence.
A flat, blank fence is a billboard
waiting to be tagged.
