A Juried Art Exhibition
for Artists with Vision
Loss
Application Deadline:
January 30, 2010
All information requested must be
completed or the application will be returned.
Each application entered must include
a 35mm slide, photograph, or electronic file that accurately represents
the creative work. Digital format is preferred.
Many stores (e.g. Walgreen's, CVS)
that offer photo development will transfer images to digital format.
If you submit a CD with multiple images, please specify the image number
on the application. Email submission is also accepted, but please
contact us first for instructions.
ACTUAL PIECES OF ART ARE NOT ACCEPTED
DURING THE APPLICATION PROCESS.
All work must be original and created
by an artist who is legally blind.
Pieces displayed in previous Passionate Focus art exhibits
will not be accepted.
Artists may submit up to 6 pieces.
There is a $30.00 non-refundable submission fee for all artists.

If you submit by email, please either mail the check or pay by credit
card at www.guildfortheblind.org and click on Donate Now and note Passionate
Focus submission in comments field.
A jury, comprised of artists, curators
and art educators, has sole responsibility for selecting the pieces
which will be included in the exhibit.
The Guild for the Blind regrets that jurors and staff are unable to
provide specific feedback on exhibit submissions.
If selected, artists must provide
the work submitted for selection. Substitutions will not be accepted.
Artists are responsible for
costs of transporting their work to the Guild prior to the exhibit.
The Guild will pay for return shipment of any unsold work up to $75.00
per artist, any costs over this are the responsibility of the artist.
The Guild for the Blind reserves the
right to reproduce accepted artwork in announcements, programs, web
sites publications and other communications
that report on or promote the event. Submission of an entry to
this competition signifies acceptance of all conditions stated.
If you would like your slides or CD
returned, please include a self-addressed, stamped envelope with your
application.

ABOUT YOUR ENTRYâSUBMIT ONE COPY PER PIECE
For multiple submissions, photocopy
this page and submit one page per work. A total of six works can
be submitted, requiring one completed entry form per piece,
one copy of the "About You" cover sheet per artist
and a non-refundable application fee of $30.00.

RELEASE: Entry to the Guild
for the Blindâs art exhibit implies permission for the Guild to reproduce
artwork, to retain unsold artwork for
three weeks for display purposes, and to publicize the artist by releasing
any information provided on the entry form.
